Physical Sciences, Technical Sciences and Natural Sciences. That is our field of expertise. Which is why we are able to create content to support you as a teacher, or you as a scholar. Nothing boring, though, since we keep it fresh and straightforward.

We simplify teaching and studying, but at the same time we hone your skills to overcome every barrier. Our goal is to lift you up and make the classroom a better place for everybody.

Back then

Back in 2009 a group of Physical Sciences teachers and entrepreneurs combined forces. We saw that there was a gap in the science education market. Accessible, relevant and user-friendly material was absent. It was a constant struggle to find valuable educational material.

Because of this gap, we started to dream and create a common goal. That was to create inspirational science material. We wanted to help all learners to improve their marks. We aimed to be the aid teachers used to lighten their load.

We only had 2 laptops and 6 staff members. However, that was all we needed to get the ball rolling. One year later we published our first edition of Grade 10–12 Physical Sciences Textbook and Workbooks.

Even though we were off to a rocky start, we started to gain momentum and confidence. Customers sent in valuable feedback which helped us to improve with every edition. We also experienced our failures. We see those failures as lessons. It made us stronger with every stride. Slowly but surely, we formed part of more and more classrooms.

As our list of customers grew, so did our team. It was not too long before we added a graphic design, admin and finance department. This elevated Doc Scientia to the next level. It allowed us to expand our product range. We also had the opportunity to travel to many provinces and present workshops for teachers.

Today, now, at this moment

Fast forward a couple of years and we have sold well over a million copies of our products. We are known in every province of South Africa, as well as the private school sector in Namibia.

Our products now include material for primary and high school. It has become more and more popular. Major and minor bookstores are now stock Doc Scientia products. We are present in a variety of classrooms, tutoring centres and homes.

In the future

We will not stop growing and learning. As long as there are children to educate, we will continue to write and produce great content. Our aim is to help people: teachers, parents, scholars and tutors. We are continually looking for more ways to improve your science education experience. The more people we can assist, the happier we become.
